Shaggy dog story about how I initially received concerned.
There was an argument on the time about whether or not a instructor who served on the Board of Schooling needs to be serving on Personnel Committee, which was the dad or mum committee to the Negotiations Committee for the Hopewell Valley Regional Faculty District instructor’s collective bargaining contract. I felt strongly that lecturers, even from different districts, serving on the Personnel Committee and clearly on the Negotiations Committee introduced a battle of curiosity.
After I received on the board, we elected a brand new board president who reassigned board committee assignments and after I retired from the board, I felt excellent concerning the integrity of the board and administration.
The present Board of Schooling election considerations me. We at present have two licensed lecturers serving on the Board of Schooling. There are two lecturers employed at native districts operating for varsity board seats. To me, electing 4 lecturers to a board of 9 introduces pointless challenges and issues. As government director of a non-profit group, I’m aware of the lack of credibility if there’s even a notion of battle of curiosity.
When there are gifted alternate options operating, it appears apparent to me that they might be a more sensible choice. Throughout my board service, I loved working with Adam Sawicki and located him to be sensible, considerate and collaborative.
Should you stay in Hopewell Township, please vote for Sawicki, Galiano, and Genovesi to keep away from introducing battle to the board.
