BRUSSELS (Reuters) – The European Union and Britain want to accentuate efforts to shut gaps on negotiations to forge a post-Brexit commerce deal and the bloc must have a transparent plan within the case of a failure of talks, Lithuania President Gitanas Nauseda mentioned on Thursday.
“Up to now now we have to accentuate our efforts so as to bridge or to attempt to bridge the remaining gaps, for instance fisheries, degree enjoying discipline and governance,” he advised reporters earlier than the beginning of a summit of EU leaders.
“We additionally needs to be ready for each choices, each options, deal and no deal. On this case we want a really clear contingency plan, what we (would) do in case of no deal.”
