(ANSA) – ROME, SEP 14 – Nomadland, an American film directed
by Chinese language film-maker Chloé Zhao, was awarded the Golden Lion at
the 77th Venice Movie Competition on Saturday.
The dramatic movie is the story of a girl who takes a visit
across the American Midwest.
Italy’s Pierfrancesco Favino received the perfect actor award on the
world’s oldest cinema competition for his efficiency in Claudio
Vanessa Kirby received the perfect actress award for Items of a Girl.
One of many favourites for the Golden Lion, Italian director
Gianfranco Rosi’s Notturno, got here away empty handed.
“The choice to exclude it was so powerful that we needed to
