Sue Gordon, former principal deputy director of nationwide intelligence, instructed CBS Information’ “Face the Nation” Sunday that President Trump’s message that the electoral system cannot be trusted “is strictly what the Russians significantly hope to realize.”
Why it issues: Trump’s critics have repeatedly mentioned the president is undermining the elections by sowing mistrust into People. He has beforehand claimed, with no proof, that voting by mail results in widespread voter fraud.
